Rolled Right Into My Fate
Talia's POV
My mother had taken me to the skating rink after I had finished my homework, now I was skating around freely. When I skated, no one could take my happiness away, not even when I fell! I looked straight ahead towards the giant mirror on the wall in front of me as it seemed to glow. I slowed down and skated nearer to it, I could see my reflection still but it looked somewhat different. It had larger eyes and the hair wasn't sticking up, it seemed to refuse to do so. I leaned in closer to mirror and put out my hand to touch it, but my hand fell right through! No matter how hard I pulled the mirror dragged me in further, 'Was no one seeing this? Would I die? What if I never saw my family again?' All the thoughts tore through my head like a bullet, I screamed as my vision faded.
I tore my eyes open. 'Where is this?', I wondered. I laid on dirt, hard dirt or concrete, I really couldn't tell. I looked down at myself relieved that I wasn't hurt, I still had my roller blades on. 'Well at least the ground is hard.', I got up slowly and stood on my wheels then put on my brake so I wouldn't slip. There was fog everywhere so I could only make out a lot of dim lights in the distance. Suddenly it started to rain, 'What a bitch is this?' I put off my brake and briskly without much trouble skated towards the assumed neighborhood. When I got there I saw that it was a town, not a neighborhood. Most of the people looked gloomy or out of it, 'How depressing.' A blur moved from one of the alleys, 'A kitty-cat!' I rolled slowly over to the alley and skated through it. All of a sudden something hard hit the back of my neck, then it was lights-out for me.
I awoke on on a metal table with my skates still on me, 'Why the hell do I keep fainting?' I tried to get up only to realize that my hands were chained to the table. At that moment I heard a door open and close and then someone spoke, "You’re awake, finally." "Who are you and why am I chained up?!", I yelled at the stranger. "Zetsu and, it's so you won't escape.", again with the two voices. Escape? What is this bozo talking about? I was bewildered, "So you assume I'm dangerous and chain me up just for that thought?" I heard footsteps getting louder, perhaps I annoyed this guy, if I did mission accomplished. My eyes widened at the man's or thing's appearance, he had white skin on one side of his face going down vertically, and he had black skin on the other side. The thing that grabbed me was his venus flytrap-thingy surrounding his head, his green hair and yellow eyes are just cool to me. He reached out to my hand and unchained my left hand then my right, "If you try to run, I'll have to kill you." I blinked and stopped all escape plans that were progressing in my head, I sighed and nodded as he grabbed my right hand. "I will escort you, to meet Leader-sama.", he explained as we went through the door and out into a big completely-made-of-stone-hallway. I was silent the whole walk(skating for me!) even when passing doors that had strange writing I couldn't read, I only didn't talk when I knew I should be silent. We finally stopped at a very big metal door had a sign above it that looked, like a pretty red cloud, yeah that was it. I looked at Zetsu, he had a black cloak on with the same clouds! Was this some kind of gang? Zetsu knocked on the door twice, and I heard a 'Come in.' I gulped as he pushed the door open and pushed me through. I couldn't see anything except for one candle hanging from the ceiling.
A figure appeared behind a desk as quick as lightning. "Um, Zetsu when did he get there?", I wanted to cower behind him for protection from the seemingly dangerous man. "My name is no importance to you girl, so you shall call me Leader-sama. Is that understood?", he spoke to me straightly. I was still confused on the 'sama' thing but decided to go along with it, "Um, yes leader-sama!" I looked closer to see there were a lot of piercings on his face, ouch. He also had orange hair and had a grungy shade of purple eyes that had rings in them, 'What. The. Hell?' Leader-sama stood from his desk, I could now see he had not blinked once since I came in the room. "What is your name girl?", he questioned calmly but still a little rude. "Talia, Talia Fatimah Muhammad. Oh I-I'm also twelve years old and my birthday is in November.", I had always wanted to do that! "I'm guessing your first name is Talia-chan correct?", he was looking for clarification. I nodded. "What rank are you?", he asked simply. I was puzzled, what was he talking about a rank? "I'm sorry leader-sama, I don't know what you're talking about. I have no rank of any kind." His ringed eyes slimed, "I know you don't. You came out of nowhere and wear foreign clothes, you were assumed a threat. If you had lied about having a rank one lie would have led to the next, and you would've been dead. That was smart indeed Talia-chan." I was shocked, had he just tested me? "Talia-chan how did you come here? I am still considering you a threat.", he spoke in a low tone. Just when I started to like him, "I-I don't remember." I seriously didn't remember anything about how I had gotten here. "I see...Zetsu call in Itachi and Konan-chan.", he ordered. I turned back to see Zetsu sink into the floor, 'What the frick?'(frick is just what I do) "Talia-chan come here.", my attention turned to leader-sama. I gulped and skated over to him, "Yes leader-sama?" He shushed me and grabbed my chin and informed me calmly, "Your eyes are strange, stranger than my own and Itachi's. There are star-like symbols in them." Star-like symbols? "But my eyes have always been brown leader-sama, and also sorry but you're making me uncomfortable.", I said sheepishly. Seriously our faces were a few inches too close, and he had just shushed me, creepy. He said nothing and took his hand away from my chin. We stood in silence for about a half-second before, "What are those un-ordinary shoes Talia-chan?" Okay random-guy, "Roller blades. You haven't gone skating before leader-sama?" He shook his head, "I have never even heard of skating, is it a game?" "No. Well kinda yes, but it can help you excersize and it is fun to do.", I explained to him.
He just went behind his desk and sat down again just as the door opened. A man who was about a foot over my height(I'm short) and has long black hair back in a ponytail, he also had weird lines coming down his face. Oh my gosh he's hot! The other person behind him was about two inches above him and has blue short hair with a flower in it. She's so pretty! Zetsu came up from the floor again and I let out a loud giggle. I could feel them all staring at me but I igrored it. "Girl look up at me.", a deep voice said from in front of me. I looked up and saw hotty-number-one in front of me staring me down. I froze, his watchfull stare kind of creeped me out. I realized that his eyes were red with three comma like shapes in them. Wow...he was just born to be hot wasn't he? "You have strange eyes. I have never seen a kekki genki(sp?) like this.", he stated more to himself than me. "That is why you have been called here Itachi. I want you to research these eyes of hers, and tell Sasori that he will help you under my orders.", leader-sama said quietly enough so I heard. I looked between all of them confused to no end, 'kekki genki', what's that? "Talia-chan do you have family or friends?", leader-sama asked probably nosy. "Yes I do. I have my mother, father, four older brothers, and too many friends to count. Also many other family that I can't remember.", I answered straightly. "Your family's names?", he continued. I decided to give him any answer he wanted even though I was tired, "My mom's name is Dolores, dad's is Galen Sr. My first born brother's name is Galen Jr., second born oldest is Tarik, third born is Rakaim, and the fourth born is Hashim." My eyes drooped a bit and I shook my head, I was so tired. 'Sleep!', I was thinking repeatedly. "Um, leader-sama when can I go? I need some sleep and need to find my mom.", I whined out. Whining was a bad habit of mine that I did when upset. "I must think if you can go anywhere, and for Itachi and Sasori to finish their task before anything happens with your current position. For now I see that you are tired so you may sleep here.", he explained. I sighed in relief. "However,", he started, "you must wear one of these." He reached inside of a small box on his desk to reveal a small hooped earring. "I see that your ears are already pierced due to your earings.", he said as he offered the black accessory to me. I slowly skated towards him and took it, I then took off my left diamond earing which I then stored in my pocket, and replaced it with the black earing. "It is a monitoring device so if you should try to escape or hurt any of the members of this organization I will know.", he told me. I froze 'Dear god...did he just chip me? ...Creepy times two.', I thought. "Konan-chan, she will share your room since you have an extra bed. You will also care and feed Talia-chan until I decide what is to happen.", leader-sama started to talk to the others, "Itachi do you understand your mission? Konan do you understand your task?" "Hai leader-sama!", they confirmed in usion. Leader-sama nodded them off. The blue haired woman now known as Konan-chan walked over to me swiftly, "Come Talia-chan." I nodded and looked back at leader-sama who was looking at me while we moved out the door. I smiled and waved back at him and he nodded once before Konan-chan closed the door.
As we went down the various hallways explained how honorifics worked for them after I told her I was confused. "Are you even tired? You're not acting like it.", she said back facing me. When I didn't answer she turned to find me smiling devilishly back at her. "You're looking at the first girl in my school who went five years straight performing in drama. Please tell me can I fool people, or can I fool people?", I joked. She looked slightly amused and sighed, "You're a handful I'll tell you that." I giggled, "Hey um Konan, can I meet the rest of the people here?" She said I could just call her Konan. She looked up for a moment then looked back at me frowning, "No that won't be necessary right now. Let's go to my room now and then you can explain what this 'performing in drama' is. I wanted to try something probably stupid when we started walking again, so I did. I skated right past Konan making her jump then skated around her in circles. "What are you doing?", she said confused and trying to look at me while I skated around her. (Funny to look at too!) "Skating it's fun you should try it!", I yelled to her. "Well quit it we need to get to my room!", she commanded. I smirked, "You said I was a handful right? You're going to have to catch this one!" I skated past her again and down a random hallway hearing her shout as she chased me. I had fun tormenting people at school and in my neighborhood, so why not here too?
Elsewhere in the Akatsuki base
No One's POV
All the Akatsuki members were currently having a meeting about their new visitor on a jutsu made bubble, which was giving off live video of Talia and Konan. Thanks to Pein's monitoring device, they were watching Talia telling Konan how she had faked being tired in her first encounter with Pein. Pein himself was surprised that she could lie so well, It also made him suspicious if she had lied about the other details she had given to him. Itachi and Sasori were absent for the meeting. Tobi kept quiet due to the threat Deidara had told him, 'If you don't keep your mouth shut un, I'll...hate you for the rest of my life yeah!'. It was a stupid threat, he already hated him, but it was enough for Tobi. Hidan was mumbling curses under his breath about not being able to pray to the 'real'(note the sarcasm) God Jashin. Kakuzu was barely paying any attention to the girl as he counted his money giving an occasional glance to the bubble. Kisame was watching closely at the way moved, acted, and talked, it was all amusing to him that Konan couldn't catch her. Deidara himself was watching boredly wishing he could fall asleep, he didn't see anything in this girl, but he liked that she was tormenting Konan. Zetsu was watching quietly trying to grab at any information the two in one could reach by the video. "Talia-chan get back here!", Konan shouted on the bubble. She leaned over panting. Talia went around in a circle again then stopped in front of her. "Had enough Kon-Kon?", she teased. Konan growled, and Talia laughed and sat down legs stretched out in front. She backed herself up to the wall, "Okay I'll stop, come come." She patted the stone next to her, Konan went over to Talia and sat down. "Talia-chan leader-sama sent Itachi-san to research your kekkei genkai, which means you must not know what they do.", Konan stated. "Yeah you're right...you know you got over that really quick. I envy that.", Talia said slowly. Konan looked confused, "Envy? Envy what?" "Patience the ability to let things not bother me. I used to go to public school and those don't have very good enviorment, I was teased because of my forehead size and my clothes. I did not put up with any of it, and I puched whoever insulted me. Every one at school called me the, 'Devil Queen'. One day I got insulted buy a guy two years older than me, we fought and he won, almost. I was on the ground with my left wrist broken, but I still got up and I-I almost killed him. If my friend Amanda hadn't run in he'd be dead. So I envy your self-control, it's as simple as that.", she told the whole story and the members in the meeting room were all completley listening once the word 'envy' came up. They now wanted to see if they could beat this 'Devil Queen' if they angered her enough. Talia screamed suddenly, they all watched as Konan tried to help her but kept getting pushed away. Talia held her head tightly and fell to her side, she was saved from hitting the floor by Konan and then she was carried to Konan's room. Kisame was the first to break the silence, "What do you think that was leader-sama?" Pein himself was puzzled, he had never seen anything like it before. "I am suprising myself by saying I do not know at all.", Pein informed them. Pein thought silently for a moment while the others (Deidara, Tobi, and Hidan) whispered about who's eyes were weirder, Talia's, Itachi's, or leader-sama's.
Seven minutes later Itachi and Sasori came in. "We couldn't find anything on her kekkei genkai, it apparently hasn't been discovered, and Talia is the first girl to have it.", Itachi explained. Leader-sama thought and thought then spoke, "She will join the Akatsuki." It was silent and he spoke again, "I know it will not be easy, with her family and friends, but we must try." "B-b-but what about Tobi?", Tobi spoke loudly. "There will simply be another spot made for her, above you just to be clear.", leader-sama said coldly. Tobi went in to 'The Emo Corner' and cried, "But that's not fair." "Wait, do you even know how much money this is going to cost?!", Kakuzu frantically shouted. "You can steal some more on your own time.", leader-sama started. "Furthermore Talia-chan will be a part of the Akatsuki, AND THAT IS FINAL!", he finished quite loudly. He took in a deep breath, "You are dismissed."
After everyone had left Nagato(What I'm calling him when there's no POV except for Konan's) sat at the biggest chair face down. "What feelings do you have for her? There must be some reason why you’re so defensive of her?", a voice came. Nagato's head bolted up to find Konan standing in front of the closed door. "I have no feelings for her Konan-chan! What gives you this idea anyways!", he retaliated. Konan sighed, "See? You're so hot-headed when someone is speaking of Talia-chan rudely. Tell me the truth...or are you confused?" He froze, "I-I don't know I just-!" He stopped himself realizing that he had just admitted to the possibilities of him liking her. "I, K-Konan I didn't mean it that way-!", He started. "Yes you did, you're confused just admit it!", she interrupted. "I-I am confused. I-It's just she's so sweet and kind and beautiful, she takes my breath away. B-but I'm not supposed to feel any love but, why is it when I saw her...I just couldn't look away?", he stopped talking and looked up at his friend. "Konan I'm sorry, please help me.", he pleaded silently. Konan felt guilty now, she had made her friend feel so conflicted and helpless. "I need you to tell me first, do you love her ?", she asked slowly. "I don't know, I'm telling you I don't know! ", he screamed and ran into the bathroom in the room. Konan simply walked up to the obviously locked door and spoke one sentence before leaving, "When you do figure out, tell me and I can help, and remember there is no shame in feeling." She left him to his thoughts and went to check up on Talia. 'Talia-chan why do I feel for you so much?', Nagato thought to himself.
Konan's POV
'I hate to be rude but before she showed up, everything was just fine! Now Nagato is conflicted about loving her!', I thought rather angrily as I walked towards my room. 'This is crazy, but at the same time I feel sad for both of them. Nagato is falling in love with a girl less than half his age, and Talia-chan... Wait maybe I can ask Talia-chan if something happened between them before I met her! Genius!', I thought as I pulled my door open. Talia-chan was asleep on the extra bed, she wasn't snoring and looked like an angel. 'Wow. I can see why Nagato called you beautiful.', I thought happily. She suddenly turned in the bed groaning quietly, it was kind of cute because she was getting caught in the blanket. "Konan, is that you? If it's anyone else get the hell out!", she yelled. I chuckled, "It's me Talia-chan, Konan." She turned again opening her eyes slightly and smiled, "You have any food? I'm starving." "Yes come now.", I said. She got straight out and ran(She took the roller blades off) to the door. "Ya comin'?", she asked. 'I now saw why Nagato loved her, but I couldn't pinpoint exactly why . I think it's because her innocence in everything, she was polite and funny, and an especially beautiful inside and out. I guess the Akatsuki just was lucky enough to meet a truly beautiful person.
CLASH OF THE LINES (DON'T OWN THIS EITHER) BUT I WAS REALLY BORED!!!!
Celeste Ominous - Awwww! Nagato is falling in love! Anyways this story will not be a "Romeo and Juliet" repeat, it will be a...not telling. Anyways review or else...yeah this time I'm using the classic "Orochimaru will kidnap you for 'experiments' in your sleep" threat.
Orochimaru - She's not lying children, you wonderful children.
Celeste Ominous - Please do let me know if this threat is scarring and/or just plain creepy.
The Deadly Lullaby of The Akatsuki
The Akatsuki are somehow transported in to our world one day. You'd think that I'd be happy, but I didn't know who they were at the time. Also, they came to us at the worst time in history; The End of The World. A zombie apocalypse had thrown evey living being on the plantet in to a living Hell. The Akatsuki were unarmed, and had no idea what was going on, so my friends and I traveled with them. We were surviving in Hell.

Prologue (A long, long prologue.)
“It’s been five days. Five days since this world died, and been engulfed by hell. ... Five days...since my mother was killed right before my eyes. ... Five days since I-I had to kill my best friend! This is so painful! I don’t want to live! ... Please, someone..! KILL ME!!!”
I opened my eyes to hear yelling, I gasped and stood on my two feet. The other two in the room also woke up as they heard the cries. ... This world is dying, we three children were in the very middle of something so ridiculous, so unbelievably unfair, a zombie apocalypse. Our families were dead, we didn’t know where our friends were, or if they were even alive. It was just so unfair! I’m Talia, I’m twelve and turning thirteen in seventeen days. But as if I cared about that anymore!
The others in the room, which happened to be a broken cooler in a food warehouse, were both thirteen. Michael and Kiye, a boy and girl who saved me from being eaten alive at a train station, were awake and ready to go. “Talia. You okay?” I looked up at the purple-haired girl, her silver eyes portrayed great worry and kindness towards me. I hesitated and then nodded, “Y-yeah I’m fine!” I kneeled and picked up my three weapons, a machine gun, a handgun, and a nightstick. Kiye had her choices of a machete, and two handguns. She was more of a sword user than a gun, so sometimes she would let me carry one of her handguns for my safety. Michael glanced over to me, “Have a nightmare ‘Lamb’? Or are you scared?” (Talia means Lamb.) I frowned as I strapped my nightstick to my hip and pushed my handgun in the strap as well, “Quiet!” Michael smirked. He picked up his rifle and aluminum bat, “It’s alright. We’re all scared.” I froze and fell on my backside, “‘Scared’? I’m terrified.” We heard the yells again. “I’ll go take care of it, Kiye, watch ‘Lamb’!”, Michael said. He ran through the door and closed it behind him. Then Kiye quickly slid the steel bar through the holes to look the door, “That guy! He’s so reckless!”
I hugged my machine gun, “Kiye?” Kiye looked back at me, “Uh...Yeah?” I looked down, “Do you think...that all of my family is dead?” Kiye looked down with a painful expression, “Well-” “Tell the truth! I don’t want to hear any pity lies! None of that ‘Happily Ever After’ crap!”, I yelled angrily. Kiye sighed, “Fine. ... I think at least a few of your cousins may be alive somewhere. I don’t know about the rest.” I sighed and stood up, “I-I’m sorry I yelled at you. I don’t know what got into me.” Kiye smiled and patted my head, “It’s fine, when I get angry I yell at Michael. When you get angry, go ahead and yell at me if you need to.” I smiled, “Thanks.” There was suddenly whistling from the other side of the door, “Let me i~n!” I sighed, he scared the living daylights out of me! Kiye ran to the door unlocked it and yanked it open, “Micheal you little-!”
She stopped when she saw a boy next to Micheal, “Um, who’s that?” There was a boy with white hair standing and breathing quickly next to Micheal, his white hair went down to his neck, save for the two thin bangs that went down to his shoulders. His eyes resembled shimmering jades. “H-hi, my name is, N-Noah.”, he said. I giggled when Kiye just stared, a small blush appeared across her cheeks. “My name is Talia, and this is Kiye.”, I said hugging Kiye’s arm snapping her awake from ‘lala land’. Kiye blushed even harder, “R-right...” She looked down at me with a look that said ‘thank your girl-soul’! I smiled like the devil, ‘This could work.’ “I guess, from now on we’ll be traveling together. It’s nice to meet you, Noah.”, Kiye said confidently. I let go of her arm and sighed, “Are you injured Noah? We can’t leave if you’re injured.” Noah sighed as he finally caught his breath, “Ye-yes I’m fine. What are those things!?” I blinked, “Okay. Would someone close the door?!” Noah and Micheal walked in, and Kiye closed the door and locked it.
“I found out that I was in a coma when I woke up in that hospital. They weren’t around, and no nurses were coming when I pressed the help button. So...”, Noah started. “You had to crawl your way out of there.”, Michael finished. Noah nodded, “I panicked when I got outside. ... So much blood! But they weren’t there. I regained my ability to run right after, I think it was because I was so scared! ...” Kiye flinched, “Y-you don’t have to talk a-” “Kiye! Hush! Let him speak.”, Michael whispered harshly. Kiye frowned, embarrassed, maybe ashamed. Noah needed to talk about his experience, he couldn’t keep it all inside. Noah glanced up then looked down again, “When I came here, there was a little boy going inside. So I followed him, then, I saw them! They tore him to pieces! I ran as fast as I could, I kept yelling for help. Just praying for someone to save me! ... Then, Michael came for me. ...” All of a sudden, Noah clung to Michael and started to cry. “I was terrified!”, he yelled. We weren’t surprised, we were in hell. And us four children, and the few hidden from our view, were surviving.
“These zombies were from hell, infecting our people, turning them into undead cannibals. Yes, in hell, we were surviving.”
Chapter 1
“The Akatsuki Are Weak”
No One’s POV
Konan sighed as she found herself walking past the same tree she had passed a half hour ago. She threw her hands up in frustration, “This is absolutely pointless! I’m tiring myself out and I don’t even know where I am!” Konan was lost in a forest at dawn, she had no food or water since twelve hours ago. When she woke up, there with no memory of her appearance there to accompany her. She was unarmed, alone, and it was getting very foggy. She shivered and sat down on a tree stump, she looked to her side. She sighed when she saw an axe sitting there, “It’s something to arm myself at least.” Konan sat there until she fell asleep, there was only one thought in her head. “Why would someone leave their axe by a stump, why not take it with them?”, she thought. Konan was being silently approached by a limping figure in the distance.
Konan woke up when something grabbed her arm, she swung the axe in her hand violently. She smirked when she felt she had hit something, blood dripped off the axe’s blade. “Oww.”, a voice came. Konan blinked, she looked closer. “Tobi?!”, she asked. Tobi had caught the blade in his hand, saving his head, but not his hand. “You tried to kill Tobi Konan sempai?!”, Tobi asked. Konan dropped the axe to her side, “Do you know where everyone else is?” Tobi dropped his bleeding hand and nodded, “Yep! We were taking turns looking for you! And Tobi found you! But Tobi hurt his leg, so Tobi is is limping, and moving slow.” Konan rolled her eyes, “Lead the way Tobi.”
Konan and Tobi arrived at a clearing in the forest, the whole Akatsuki stood or sat there. Pein’s eyes widened when he saw Konan, “Konan-chan! You’re safe!” He hugged her tightly. Konan smiled softly and hugged her friend back, “Of course I am. I can fend for myself you know.” Pein stepped back once and smirked, “Of course I do.” “I found Konan sempai before Pein-sama! It’s a world record!”, Tobi shouted. Pein’s eyebrow twitched as he completely released Konan, “Now that Konan-chan has been found, we must travel now.” Konan sighed, not liking the idea of walking again. Deidara and Hidan fussed about it, but they soon shut up as they walked through the dense forest.
“Konan-chan, where’d you get the axe? ... And why are you dragging it around like a crazy person?”, Hidan asked. Konan glanced back at him, “I found it of course. ... Oh, is anyone else unarmed?” There were annoyed groans in the group. “No Samehada.”, Kisame growled. “No f**king scythe!”, Hidan yelled. Konan hummed, “Nothing at all? Not even a kunai?” Everyone shook their heads. “Hey, there’s a road ahead!”, Deidara said happy to finally be out of the forest. They all looked ahead to see that there was indeed a road, but it looked like a wreck. They walked to the edge of the forest where there was a cliff that descended to the street. They then jumped down and looked around, the place looked like a ghost town. (Ghost City.) The tall buildings were empty, the windows were broken, and they looked like they could collapse at any second. “Well, let’s get going. Pein-sama?”, Kakuzu asked. Pein nodded, “Let’s go.”
Talia’s POV
I almost screamed at the amount of blood splattered from between the two doors of the apartment. “Looks like one of ‘them’, got shot.”, Michael said. I exhaled deeply, “L-let’s take the tripod defense.” Kiye nodded and Michael scoffed as they went to the double door. “Noah come over here.”, Michael said. Noah jumped and went over behind Michael, “What are you doing?” I walked to the door, “We’re going in. Noah, take Kiye’s handgun.” Kiye threw her handgun to Noah. Noah just barely caught it, “But I-I don’t know how to use a gun!” I took out my handgun and reloaded it, I turned and fired it at a can. I looked to Noah, “It’ll come quickly.” Kiye spoke up, “If not, we’ll be here to protect you.”
Noah didn’t look convinced, “Why do we have to go into an apartment? There are so many bad thing that can happen! ... Can’t we salvage stuff from a trailer or something?” “Where the Hell are we going to find a trailer in a place like this?!”, Michael argued. “Boys, hush! You’ll attract the dead!”, I whispered angrily. Kiye started to look concerned as well, “Maybe he’s right. I mean, it does have small spaces. I think it would be less dangerous to ransack a store or something like that.” I thought about it as well, I turned around. “Maybe not?”, I whispered. A whole horde of the walking dead were blocking our path. They started to climb the stairs, in search of something to eat. Michael covered Noah’s mouth to keep him from making any noise. Kiye opened the doors and gave a thumbs up to say it was clear. We slipped into the apartment silently and looked around, no dead bodies, and none of ‘them’ wandering around.
I sighed, “Kiye, you and I will take the doors on the right. Michael and Noah, you take the left. Noah...don’t scream, don’t yell, stay together, and don’t abandon your partner.” Noah looked startled, “R-right. Sure. What if they get in the door?” “It’s a ‘pull’ door. They won’t be getting in here. We can only wait it out in here.”, Kiye said. I looked behind me at the door that was being pounded at by the dead, “Noah and Michael stay here, we’ll go first.” Kiye walked down the stairs slowly and I followed her after equipping my machine gun, there was an open door. I heard clanking of metal, I looked to Kiye. She shook her head, I took that as a message to not say anything. I nodded and we slowly stalked into the room, I saw a dead body crushed behind a couch.
Kiye motioned for me to watch it, I nodded. A metal clank came again, I flinched and kept watching the body under the couch. In my side vision I saw Kiye turn the corner, I could feel my heart thumping inside my ears. "Oh! It's just a cat!", Kiye exclaimed. I sighed in relief, "Check the back rooms, I'll cover you." I backed up into the kitchen and took a glance at the white cat on the floor, the kitchen was empty. I strapped my machine gun to my back and took out my nightstick and handgun, “Kiye, let go of the cat.” Kiye pouted and got her machete out again, “Fine, just watch the body.” I nodded and turned back towards the couch, it hadn’t moved.
I heard Kiye moving around through the apartment room for a little, “Whoever was here before, they cleaned the place out.” I sighed and picked up the thin cat on the floor, “Let’s go then.”

Chapter 2
We walked out into the small lobby in the apartment, Noah looked worried and Michael looked annoyed. I raised an eyebrow, “What’s up guys?” “The zombies left.”, Noah said smiling awkwardly. Michael growled, “But now there are some loud people out there, they’ll attract a horde!” I gasped and went over to the red doors, and looked through the small window on the right one. There were about ten or eleven people standing there, looking around. Some of them yelling out something, perhaps someone’s name. I frowned as Kiye shoved me aside to look through the window herself, “Hey!” Kiye giggled, “They look weird.” I nodded and squeezed past her to look myself. These people were dressed in the same black cloak with red clouds, some of them looked mutated. But they looked human enough. I sighed and turned around, “In that big of a group, they should be fine until we get through this place. Noah and Michael, you guys have the next room.”
Noah looked panicked, “But-!” “It’ll be okay Noah!”, Michael said determination ringing in his voice. Noah jumped at the tone of his voice and then, he himself looked convinced. He nodded, “R-right!”
We spent about twenty minutes looking through rooms in the apartment, we only encountered one of ‘them’ once. And the one we encountered was half stuck under a refrigerator, so no-one got hurt. But I’m sure Noah was traumatized that this ‘one’, was an elderly woman, and I shot her in head.
When we returned down to the lobby, we heard panicked yells from outside. Michael ran to the door, “My God, they’re surrounded! What are they still doing here anyways?! Don’t they know anything?!” I gasped and looked out through the window myself, the people were indeed still there. Now they were surrounded by at least thirty zombies and they weren’t fighting back. I sighed in anticipation, “Guys, I don’t think they know anything. We have to help!” Michael and Kiye nodded, Noah looked hesitant but followed suit. He was obviously timid, but he wasn’t cowardly enough to leave people to die. Kiye walked up and opened the door silently, “Let’s go. Noah, move very quietly.”
I moved outside and down the stairs quickly the people that were surrounded seemed to notice me immediately. I put my finger to my lips and kicked over a garbage can, I looked over to see Michael doing the same to a pile of trash. The zombies went after us, I aimed and shot down as many as possible. I cried out as a zombie grabbed my ankle, it was shot by Kiye, saving my life. Kiye ran over to me shooting five zombies in her sight, she stopped next to me. I smiled, “Thanks, where’s Noah?” Kiye nodded her head over to an alley, “He said he was too scared to come out.” We kept shooting until there were no dead around, and the group of people were out of the ‘dead zone’.
We all took refuge inside the vacant apartment once again to talk peacefully. I sighed in relief as I saw that no-one had been bitten, “You guys really gave us a scare there.” “Not all of us.”, Michael said absent-mindedly. “Most of us.”, Kiye said quickly afterwards. They all looked at us like we were the strangest beings on the world. Then one of the men of the group with short red hair spoke up, “Thank-you for saving us. But, who are you?” I smiled, “Me? I’m Talia! But someone has a habit of calling me ‘Lamb’.” Kiye suddenly clung on to my neck, “My name’s Kiye! That’s K-i-y-e! Don’t wear it out or mis-spell it!” Noah nodded slightly, “Noah, nice to meet you.” Michael sighed deeply, “Micheal. Or whatever.”
I sighed at Michael. Kiye waved him off, “So, who are you all? And, what were you guys doing out there?” A white haired man spoke up, “The name’s Hidan!” I tilted my head, “Really?” He looked slightly annoyed at my comment, but I meant no offence. “I’m Kakuzu.”, a tall man with a mask that covered everything but his oddly colored red and green eyes said. Michael looked untrusting particularly towards him, I sighed. “Sasori.”, the red-headed male said. The blonde man glaring at everything looked at me, “I’m Deidara.” I flinched and straightened up as he just stared at me. What did he want? “Itachi.”, a man with long black hair in a ponytail grabbed my attention. Then I looked to a tall man with blue skin and beady yellow eyes, he just scoffed at me. “My name is Kisame.”, he said. I nodded stiffly, “I can’t believe this. ... You look...AWESOME! I mean, look at your hair!” Everyone looked surprised, I ignored them and ran over behind him on the stairs. I smiled, “I mean, look at this hair! It’s naturally blue and it defies gravity!” “Talia, have I mentioned you’re wierd?”, Michael said. I scowled, “Don’t be mean!” I grabbed Kisame’s shoulders, “He has feelings Michael!” Kisame looked beyond ticked, “Uh..” I smiled and sat down behind him. “Anyways... I’m Zetsu.” I flinched at the two voices coming from the plant man behind me, ‘Strange...’ I cried out as two strong arms wrapped around me, “What the heck?!” I looked back to see a masked man who had only one eye hole in his mask, it was orange and had a thin black swirl on it. All of a sudden, he giggled. “Hi Talia-chan! Tobi’s name is Tobi!”, he said happily. I blinked and stared at him with a ‘really?’ look on my face, “Oh, is that so? That’s nice.” I clamped my hands down on his wrists like a bear trap and didn’t let go until he tried to run away. I sighed, happy that I got his hands away from me.
“So, what’s your name man?”, Kiye asked. I looked to the only other man in the room, his hair was orange and spiky. He seemed depressed though and he wasn’t talking. “Ah. You see, we tried to get down the street. But those ‘things’ cut us off. A member of our group got separated, her name was Konan. We don’t think anything’s happened to her though, she’s strong by herself.”, Kisame said. “His name is Pein. He just won’t talk right now.”, Sasori said. I felt sympathetic for the man, he looked like his mind was just...gone. “Hey Pein! She’ll be alright! The dead move slowly anyways! The streets here are wide, and barely any of the alleys are dead ends, so she’ll be fine!”, Kiye yelled. Pein’s strange ringed eyes panned up to Kiye, “...” I felt disappointed and looked up to the ceiling far above us, “Konan, huh?” “Konan is a name that shows difficulty in showing emotion, so she probably replaces that empty space with positiveness, and bluntness. A normal person would never realize the true depth of her nature. So maybe...”, Michael started. Pein seemed to be glaring at him, almost daring him to say something stupid. Michael didn’t seem fazed, “Maybe you’re losing hope for her by the second.” In a flash Pein was on top of Michael, hands clenched tightly around his throat. I gasped and ran over where Kiye was trying to get him off, “Please let go! Pein you’re going to kill him!” I tried to pull off Pein’s hands, but he was stronger than me. I whimpered as I saw Michael cough up blood.
“Pein!”, Noah screamed. I turned to see Noah standing up with his hands clenched at his sides, “N-Noah?” “In this world, at this time of all times. You’re choosing to take away our friend just because yours may or may not be alive?! How inconsiderate are you?! Konan may be lost out there, but she may be dead!”, Noah screamed. I was surprised and happy that Pein slowly started to get off of Michael, allowing him to breathe. Noah then stormed over to him and grabbed the collar of Pein’s cloak and pushed him to the wall. Noah looked furious! He shook his head, “And I would be sorry if the latter were true! But you can’t take our friend away from us who doesn’t have a fighting chance, unlike your friend Konan! So why don’t you snap out of it?!!”
He looked down at me once more, “...Sure...” I put my hand on his shoulder and smiled, “We’ll find her in no time! Don’t worry.” He sighed, “Okay. We should get going then?” I looked out the window, “No. It’s sunset. It’ll take us hours to find a vacant place like this again, and you’re never safe in the dark. I...I would know.” I put my hand to my side and walked over where Michael was now sitting down nursing undoubtedly sore neck. I felt Pein’s eyes burning into the back of my head, I ignored it though.
Later we were in a completely empty apartment where Michael was resting soundly on the floor in a sleeping bag that we had packed earlier. I sighed as I opened my backpack, “We barely have enough food for everyone now that we have such a large group. We’re going to have to go scavenging again Kiye.” I heard Kiye’s annoyed yell from behind Hidan who was standing to my right, “Scavenge or starve Kiye! Be reasonable!” Kiye walked out from behind Hidan, “Fine. But we’re leaving Michael and Noah back, and taking...” I smiled and looked around the room, “How about Sasori?” Kiye smirked, “Yep! Hands down, we’re taking Sasori!” Sasori seemed annoyed, “Why did you have to pick me? I’m useless without my art!” I tilted my head, “Art? Dude, all you need, is pure strength and/or aim.” “Not to mention you need to be fast!”, Kiye said. I nodded towards her, “Right, and speed. Why are you so concerned about art at this time?”
“Especially since his art is the wrong kind of art! It is not true art!”, Deidara yelled out. I watched vaguely intrigued in their argument, I gasped as a thumping came at the door. I growl came from the other side of the door silencing everyone in the room. I sighed. “Talia?”, Noah asked anxiously. “We might....have not....checked the roof on accident.”, Kiye said. I sighed, “Well was that a ‘push’ or ‘pull’ door leading to the roof?”, I asked sarcastically. I growled and got out my machine gun, “Noah, we’re doing another clean out, you stay here with them!” Noah panicked, “You can’t go out! There’s only two of you!” I sighed, “Noah.” Kiye put her hand on Noah’s shoulder, “If we don’t they can get in while we’re sleeping, then we’d be in deep shit. Noah, we have to do this. These guys obviously don’t know anything that’s going on, they don’t even know how to use this.” Kiye held out her handgun and gave it to Noah again, “Use it only if necessary. Got it Noah?” Noah looked hesitant but nodded, “K.”
I sighed and looked back at Kiye, “Ready?” Kiye nodded and walked up next to me, “Let’s go.” I threw open the door to find a whole horde there, we fired our way out of the room. Kiye closed the door and we kept fighting the screaming undead.
Noah’s POV
I trembled as shots sounded endlessly through the building, I almost lost my pee when the shots stopped. I looked up at the door and felt relieved as the shots continued, “The-they’re going to be j-just fine!” I then looked to the group of the strange newcomers, “Right?” Tobi walked over, “Talia-senpai and Kiye-senpai are going to be perfectly fine Noah-senpai! You just watch, Tobi promises!” I nodded and smiled, “You’re right Tobi! Thanks.”
“We might have a problem here! Noah?!”, Hidan yelled. I looked over to the patio and saw three zombies that weren’t there before, I yelled and held up my handgun. My hands trembled madly as they stepped into the room, I gasped as Kakuzu came behind me. I looked up at him, “H-?” He covered my mouth with his hand and he crouched down, “Be quiet.” He helped me steady my hands and aim at the zombies who stood, silently waiting for a noise. I nodded, and pulled the trigger twice. I found myself startled by the loud noise, and I might have fallen if it weren’t for Kakuzu behind me. I cried out as the remaining zombies advanced, I shot one down myself. I yelled as the remaining zombie grabbed my arm, “No! Get it off!” Kisame came up quickly and kicked it away, “Don’t worry.” Itachi suddenly came up and took the handgun from me, I was surprised to see his eyes were blazing red. He shot the remaining zombie in the face.
I gasped and leaned back into Kakuzu’s arms, “I thought...you didn’t know how to use a gun.” Itachi looked at me, “Well now I do.” He looked to the front door, “I have to go check on them. There hasn’t been any firing lately.” “Itachi-san....heh. I’ll go with you!”, Kisame said. I looked to the shark-man, he had Kiye’s machete! “Wh-when did you?”, I asked surprised. He smirked, “Don’t think I had this the whole time Noah! I just found it.” I sighed as I felt Kakuzu stand up straight behind me, “If that’s the case, cut these zombie’s heads off. Michael said, ‘You can never be sure if they are really dead or not. That’s the problems with dead zones, if you walk through a pool of the undead, you’re doing the same thing as walking through a minefield.'” I looked away as Kisame did what I requested, I felt sick as I looked back at the scene. "Don't faint Noah, we need you awake yeah.", Deidara said. I nodded and shook my head, "I-I'm fine. I just...feel sick.
You see, this is my first day being involved in all of this, I’ve been in a coma for quite some time. I’m not used to seeing this. According to Talia, Kiye, and Michael, this has been going on for five days." They all seemed surprised, I looked up at the ceiling. “Talia lost her mother and her best friend, Michael lost his little brother, and Kiye was separated from her older brother. It’s amazing how they’ve survived on their own up till now, and seeing these kind of horrible things everyday.”, I said quietly.
“...We’re going to go help them. Got that Noah?”, Kisame said breaking the silence. I looked to him and nodded wordlessly. Itachi and Kisame left the room quickly and silently. I soon heard gunshots that were close by, “This is all so twisted.” “Noah-kun.”, Pein said. I looked over to him, “Wh-what do you want?!” I was still ticked at him for what he did, he sighed and sat down on the floor. “Tell us about them, tell us about those ‘things’.”, he said. I sighed in relief that he didn’t want to start something, “Alright then, I’ll tell you what I know.” I was surprised that everyone sat down in the same manner that Pein did, I shook my head and did the same. “First things first, they’re called zombies. The walking dead that hunger for human flesh, they are attracted to sound, and they attack if there is light shining in their eyes. That’s why we only go out when there is sunlight shining, if we went out at night, we would need a flashlight. And that would be a double negative, you wouldn’t know if there was a zombie near you unless you shined a light on it, and once you did it would attack you.”, I said. “What if you’re bitten?”, Hidan asked. I nodded, “It’s better to let them eat you alive, then get away with a bite. It-it’s the worst thing! If you’re bitten, sooner or later, you’ll become a zombie! ...... That’s what happened to Talia, her friend was bitten, and she didn’t even see what was happening to her until she started attacking! It’s so horrible!” I felt tears build up in my eyes, “Talia’s mother and her were going to escape by driving away, but it was dark and they couldn’t see what was happening! Talia was already in the car but her mother was dragged away in the dark! Talia had no choice but to closed the door and listen to her mother being eaten alive! She would have died if she hadn’t!” I started to cry, “Everything that I know now is because they experienced the pain of it happening to them! Even Michael and his little brother! They went in to a dead zone and his brother was snatched up!” I shuddered, “I’m just so useless to them!”
Chapter 3“Floating Lights Give You Lemonade”
“Floating Lights Give You Lemonade”
Talia’s POV
I growled in frustration as I checked how many bullets were in my machine gun, “I have five. You?” Kiye sighed, “Seven. I don’t have my machete.” I sighed and I flinched when I saw a zombie fall down the stairs, I shot it in the head before it could get up. “Four.”, Kiye said. I got up from the floor and looked up the stairwell, “The shots stopped a while ago. Let’s clear out the remainder of the-” “Talia behind you!”, Kiye shouted. I turned to see a zombie reaching out for me, I screamed as it grabbed my hand. I shot it in the neck, it wasn’t enough though. I fell back as the zombie was suddenly shot in the head. I looked up the stairwell to see Itachi and Kisame standing there, I smiled. “What are you guys doing do-?! ... How’d you get my machete?!”, Kiye yelled. I looked over my arm and sighed in relief when I saw the zombie had gotten its teeth nowhere near me. “So. ... N-no bite?”, Kiye asked. I smiled, “You can look for yourself and see, I’m fine. Thanks Itachi. I thought you didn’t know how to use a gun.” Itachi nodded and walked down the stairs, “After seeing Noah use it, it was easy for me.” I nodded, “I’m glad, now we have one more shooter.” I looked to Kisame, “Did you guys clear out the rest of the building?” Kisame nodded, “Yeah we did. Checked all the rooms and everything.” Kiye sighed in relief, “That’s good.” I looked at Kiye as she started to cry, “Kiye?” She dropped her gun and hugged me, “I-I thought I was going to lose you! I was so scared, thinking that-that it bit you! Talia, don’t scare me like that again!” I stepped back once because of the force that Kiye launched at me when she hugged me. I looked over to her shaking body, and rubbed circles on her back with my hand and smiled. “I won’t Kiye.”, I whispered.
At dawn I woke up to the sound of yelling, I sighed. Blinking slowly I rolled over and grabbed my handgun, I stood up. Everyone else was awake and they looked pissed off. Kakuzu and Hidan were arguing back and forth about something I couldn’t comprehend at the moment. All I knew, was they were loud, and I didn’t like it. I stood up and aimed the barrel straight at Kakuzu’s face, I loaded it. Everyone went silent. I smiled with my eyes closed, “I hope you prayed when you woke up this morning, for your life of course.” “U-um Talia you don’t need to do that. Even I don’t overreact that much!”, Kiye said. I opened my eyes halfway, “This isn’t me overreacting, it’s me being grumpy.” I looked at Kakuzu who was trying to inch away from the barrel of the gun, I adjusted so it was pointing straight at him again. He froze again, “S-sorry.” He had seen what this thing could do, and I’m sure he didn’t want to have it happen to him either. I sighed and let my arm dangle at my side, “I can’t point a gun at you...” I aimed the barrel at Hidan, “...you weren’t as loud.” “Come on Talia!”, Michael complained. “Is anyone taking her seriously at all?”, I heard Sasori ask in a whisper. “I don’t think so. I think it’s just a way to shut everyone up.”, Kisame answered back. I then lunged forward quickly and chopped Hidan in the neck with the handle of the gun, he dropped like a rock. I heard Noah gasp, “Hidan!” Kiye snickered.
Hidan laid there groaning and cursing, at least he was quiet. I sighed and dropped my handgun, “What time is it?” “At least...two o’ three.”, Itachi said. I clapped my hands together loudly, “Two o’ clock, called it!” I then fell face first to the floor. I just laid there, not even minding the loud thump that sounded through the room. I also didn’t pay attention to the pain or dizziness that came with it. I didn’t go to sleep, I just laid there and listened to the others quietly converse.
“So where do you think we’re scavenging now?”, Kiye asked in a hushed tone. I leaped up, “A warehouse!” I saw everyone look at me, “A warehouse is where we’re going!” Kiye nodded, “Well we’ll take a poll. Just because I like to. Everyone that agrees raise your hand!” I raised my hand quickly, everyone else followed slowly. “Where are we going to find another wearhouse?”, Michael asked. I looked to my backpack and grabbed the map of the city, “We’ll find one on here.” Pein walked up to me and put his hand out, “May I?” I nodded shortly and placed the map in his hand, “I guess you need to learn the mapping more than we do.”
Pein nodded and sat down in the middle of the room with Itachi, studying the map. I walked over to Michael, “Hey.” Michael glanced up at me, “I’m not helping them.” I sighed, “Figured me out that quick? Look, you pissed the guy off when he was pissed and worried. He attacks, you would’ve done the same. Michael you should've known better than to do that.” Michael frowned and then walked up to me, “Fine. But I’m not going to be all buddy-buddy with the guy for a long long, long time!” He shoved past me and sat down with Pein and Itachi, I just shrugged. Pein looked like he honestly didn’t care if Michael sat with them or not, so I guess it was fine for now. I
“Hey Talia, take a look.”, Kiye said as she stood in the balcony porch. I walked out with her, “What’s up?” I looked out in the street, “What the Hell?” Kiye nodded, “See?” I gulped, “How, how is the street completely empty? It’s never this empty.” The street didn’t even have a few walking dead, it was empty. Like the apocalypse never happened. I sighed in anticipation, “We’ve got to get moving, soon. I’ve got a bad feeling about this Kiye.” Kiye nodded quickly, “Yeah, it makes me feel uneasy too.”
I turned and walked into the room, "I think we're going to leave in an hour or so. Prepare yourselves, k? Everyone nodded shortly. I sighed, this was going to get complicated, I just knew it. "What did you just call me boy?", Pein's voice interrupted my thoughts. Oh no... Michael looked smug, "A lovesick emo, Pein..." I felt faint, hadn't this boy learned his lesson yet?! Pein was not a guy to be messed with! He obviously had a really dangerous temper! Kiye looked fed up, Noah looked terrified, and everyone looked as if they had accepted his early end. I just sighed, "Micheal, cut it out. Don't you know when to stop?" Michael glared at me, "Shut the Hell up Talia!!" I frowned and walked over to Michael, "No. Micheal, now quit messing around! Pein is worried about Konan, the same way all of us are worried for our friends." Michael didn't look affected, "You know, I really don't care." Suddenly Deidara came over and slapped Michael, "You're upsetting Kiye-chan. Shut-up and worry about someone else for a change." I looked to Kiye to see she was crying, and most definitely surprised. "Michael, you really do need to stop.", Noah said. That was really surprising to me, it seemed like Noah worshiped Michael after he saved him. Michael looked vexed, "Kiye, stop whining! You told me how you and your brother were separated when this all started! It's obvious that was no accident." I had had enough, I gave Michael a good punch to the face. That's when things really went quiet, "Michael, I think it's about time you shut the fuck up. Don't ya think?" Michael didn't answer, he just stood there and stared. He sat on the floor and stayed there. I felt all eyes on me, "Oh just study the damn map." Soon everything was normal-ish, including the fact that I felt so much better. I saw Michael helping Pein with the map quietly, "Finally..." Kiye had calmed down to a level where she could understand words to an extent, and Noah now kept to my side. He didn't say anything, he just stood there. I knew that no-one was actually annoyed, just tired. I knew I was tired as Hell. I laid down soon after this and went back to sleep. This whole scenario was alone too much for my mind. Arguing and tension just added to the stress that no little girl should ever have to endure.
Itachi’s POV
I silently watched as Michael started to point out places they had already been, he looked drained. He then looked away, over at Talia’s sleeping figure. His sentence started to slur, he wasn’t paying attention anymore. He soon stopped talking completely, and stared at her. Kiye, and everyone else besides Pein, Michael, Noah and I had gone to sleep earlier. Michael sighed deeply and buried his head in his hands, “I’m sorry. ... Pein, Itachi, I was acting like an ass.” Pein just stared, “It’s fine. ... You lost your sister?” Michael nodded slowly, “I have nothing to care about anymore, nothing except...’Lamb’.” I nodded, “I had a feeling you liked her.” Michael unexpectedly snapped his head to glare at me with red cheeks, “Shut-up. ... Is it obvious?” Noah then spoke up, “I didn’t know. I-I wasn’t expecting that at all.” I looked to Pein, “So, did you know Pein-sama?” Pein shook his head, “No. ...” He then smirked, “You’re doing a Hell of a good job hiding it Michael.” Michael frowned, “Lamb is so strong, most likely when this is all over, she’ll just cry and cry for days on days. That’s what I’ll do as well. This is all too much.” I looked as Michael tried to hide his tears, “Natalia, my little sister. She had so much life ahead of her! In five days everything went to Hell. I lost her in the second day of all this shit! I was so looking forward to everything she had to come! Her graduation, her first boyfriend, her first kiss, her wedding! They’ll never happen! She can never know that happiness now! Lamb is right! This is Hell!” Michael had burst into tears during this small rant, and I felt his pain. I looked to Pein, he was looking down at the map with a sorrowful look in his eyes. Pein inched over to the sobbing boy, “Michael.” Michael looked up at Pein, Pein stretched his hand out. Michael looked surprised at the offered comfort, but quickly he jumped into Pein’s arms. I watched as Michael weeped in his arms. I guessed I couldn’t help with anything, so I went to sleep as well. I only thought of one thing, ‘Is Sasuke in this world as well?’
I awoke to the sound of yelling and laughing, I sat up. I saw sunlight streaming through the blinds of the window. I concentrated on the people in front of it, Kisame, Deidara, and Hidan were all laughing. I saw Michael standing up with his cheeks red and yelling at them. Pein was standing right near him just staring at the scene. I blinked slowly, “What’s happening?” I looked to Sasori who was on the couch, he sighed deeply. “When we woke up, we found Michael clinging to Pein-sama. Then someone started laughing, and everyone else woke up.”, he said. I blinked again, “Is that so?” I let a small smile go.
I glanced at Talia, she was just staring at the scene with an amused smile. Kiye was giggling silently beside her. Noah just looked with a kind of blank expression. I looked to see Kakuzu banging his head against the wall quietly in annoyance. I think Tobi was still asleep on the floor right beside me. I sighed deeply, “You are too loud. Shut up already.” Kisame looked at me, “Ah, sorry Itachi-san.” Michael stopped yelling and settled for glaring, both Deidara and Hidan quieted down. I laid down again, “Thank-you.” I looked to Sasori, “So, what do you think is going to happen? Those weapons are unlike any I’ve ever seen.” Sasori nodded, “They didn’t look easy to use either. When they were taking out those things outside, they could have easily hit us as well. You’ll be able to copy how they use their weapons easily, although for us, it will be more complicated.” I nodded and stood up, I looked to Kiye who was talking to Talia. They looked partly serious, and partly playful. It was hard to tell. I walked over, “Excuse me, Kiye-chan?” Kiye looked up along with Talia, “Oh. ... What is it?” I crouched by them, “Will we be getting new weapons soon?” Kiye looked up, “Umm... I don’t know. Most likely, right Talia?” Talia nodded, “Obviously Kiye, we can’t go running around with a large group, and limited weaponry. Did you think we were just going to waltz on over to a warehouse without fighting anything?” Kiye looked surprised and annoyed, “O-of course I didn’t! I’m not stupid!” Kiye looked embarrassed, but I could already tell that she was lying easily. Talia frowned, “Right of course you knew.” Her voice dripped in sarcasm. I smirked, “Kiye-chan didn’t you just say that you didn’t know whether we were going or not? You asked Talia-chan.” Kiye glared at me, “I wasn’t thinking okay!? ... You guys are so bothering!” I chuckled and Talia laughed, “Sorry.” Kiye looked at me, she stuck out her tongue and closed her eyes. I smirked at her childish behavior.
“So, the nearest gun shop right?”, Michael asked. I cocked my head slightly to see him standing behind me, “Yes. We need to get ourselves armed.” “ASAP right?”, Kiye asked. I nodded, “Correct.” I looked up as Kakuzu walked over, he stood behind Kiye. “As soon as we get weapons, we can get food, correct?”, he asked. Talia nodded, “I do want to warn you guys though... Everyone listen up!” The room quieted quickly as Talia stood, “Zombies might not be the only things we’ll have to fight. People might be going crazy, see this as the apocalypse. Some will try to fight us to get to food and weapons. We need to be on guard at all times! Sometimes, we might not even be inside for the night. So prepare yourselves alright? We’ll be leaving in a half hour or so, we can’t afford to spend any more time here.” I stared at her, “Are you sure you’re only twelve?” She looked down at me and scoffed, “Tch! As sure as I know I hate Twilight!” I tilted my head slightly, “Hmm?” Kiye stood up and hugged Talia, “Yes! You’re not a Twilight fanatic! I love you~!” Talia giggled, “Ok, that’s enough.” “Why’s it all empty outside? Shouldn’t those zombies be walking around, hmm?”, Deidara asked. Talia looked over to him, “Yeah, that’s why we’re leaving soon.” Deidara nodded, “Got it.” I looked over at Tobi as he sat up and yawned, “Tobi is tired...” I sighed, “Well wake up, we’re leaving soon.” “Shit, Talia!”, Hidan suddenly yelled. I followed Talia to the balcony where Hidan stood. There were now zombies out there, chasing a girl. I was shoved aside by Michael and Kiye who then started shooting the zombies.
Witch's Brew
Chapter 1
Celeste-Ominous - Hello, I am writing so much I can barely concentrate on one
story! Anyways read this story and try to enjoy it, and review if you have the time!
Well This Is Just *Bleeping* Perfect!
I looked up at the stars on my bedroom porch outside, "So many stars." "They're so pretty Celeste!", I heard my little sister say. I turned around to see my cute little sister Talia, looking at the stars in her night gown. I smiled and walked over to her, "What are you doing up so late?" She looked at me and
whispered, "I had a bad dream." I sighed and ushered her inside, "It's okay, you can tell me about it, then you can sleep in my room, with me." I closed the screen door behind me, and walked over to my bed with my sister and laid under the light sheet with her. "Well?", I asked. "Th-there were zombies chasing me!", she whined. I inwardly growled, I had told my older brother, not to play those zombie
games while she's in the room! She was only six, so fragile and small, I didn't want her to break. "What did the zombies do then?", I asked wrapping my arms around her. "Th-they started to chase you, and mommy, and daddy, and Hakim!", she whined. "Then they got you! It was so scary!", she cried. I just hugged her tighter, "It's alright, I'm here now aren't I? It was just a nightmare, and do you know the good thing about nightmares?" She shook her head, "N-no." "The good thing about nightmares is; when you wake up, you know everything is going to be okay. Because nightmares, aren't real.", I answered. She smiled and was silent for some time, when I looked down, she had already fallen asleep. I smiled and followed suit after a while, 'I have the perfect little sister.' I woke up when something heavy, fell on my stomach. I groaned and looked down to see Talia smiling at me, "Wake up Celeste, you're going to be late for 'Witches School'!" My eyes widened, "Thanks Talia!" I got up from under my
covers and ran out of my room, and in to the bathroom. I know, since I go to a school for witches, why do I not use magic to do everything? Simple, it's because; not everyone I live around with is a witch, I need to learn how to act human. I am a witch, they are humans, we can't be together or else there will be no balance. We would be in danger if humans found out, we want peace between us, but humans seem like they are un-adapting to our existence. Back to the story please. Anyways, I took a shower and ran out with my robe, I ran back in to my room. I opened my dresser and picked out my school uniform; a long black skirt, a black collar shirt with a picture of a broomstick on the left side chest area, and a bow to put in our hair. My hair was white and long, but looked silver and short, I braided my hair in to twelve long braids and put my white bow on the left side of my head. I sighed and ran out of my room to get breakfast, I then turned back to get my staff, other girls in my school still had wands. Basically, I was the first to get a witch's staff, which proves superiority. The staff was golden and a little taller than me, the top of it was shaped like a crescent moon with clear jewels decorating the crescent. It was my greatest treasure that belonged to me. Talia went to a pre-school for witches, the same one I went to when I was little. I then carried my staff to the kitchen, and saw my mom, brother, and Talia eating cereal. My mother smiled at me, "Your cereal is on the table." I looked at the table right next
to Hakim, a bowl of cereal laid there. I sat down and thanked my mother, I ate my cereal faster than both of my siblings and mother, and ran to the front door. "Celeste! You can't leave without your little sister!", my mom shouted after me. I sighed and waited for my sister while putting on my white open-flats, when she came over I put on her black flats and handed her training wand. "Okay, bye mom! Iyaku have fun in 'Sorcerer’s School'!", I yelled while shutting the door. I grabbed Talia's hand and pulled her towards the back of the house, I put her on my staff and got on too. "Go, go, go, go!", my sister yelled grabbing my waist. I smiled and rode my staff just like a broomstick, I rode it right through the portal which I had opened. I had to take my sister with me, because she was too young to try to cast such a high leveled spell. The portal led to the 'Pre-scholar’s Witch School', I touched down on the ground and let my sister off. "Have a good day, okay?", I said. "Sure Celeste!", she smiled and ran off with her wand and backpack. I smiled and rode off, I opened the portal that led to my school. While I
descended, I saw classmates waving at me, I waved back smiling. When I touched the ground, my friends saw me and huddled around me. "So, so? Did you finish your essay yet?", Natalia asked. "Yes.", I answered. I opened a small portal in my staff that held almost anything, I pulled out my essay, fully hand-written. The light above my staff disappeared as I closed it. "Whoa! You finished the twenty page essay that Miss. Cohen told us to do by today? She gave us that assignment two days ago!", Kiye awed. I nodded, "It was only about the development of all wands, and how the staff was made. It really wasn't that hard." They stared at me. "I only got mine half-finished!", Sylem whined. "Half?! I didn't get past page three!", Umaki whined. I blinked, "Wait, it was supposed to be a twenty page hand-written? ... I did a thirty page hand-written." They all stared in awe, "WHAT?!" Suddenly the school bell rung loudly. "Ah, let's get to class.", Sylem said. I nodded and followed my friends in to the castle, yes, our school was a castle that used to belong to Count Dracula. They finally bribed him with enough money to move out about a millennium ago, we often saw him because he wanted to check on the castle, we hadn't changed anything except the dust. Yes, for a school filled with girls, the dust had to go. I walked up the
grand stairs and turned in to the west wing, my first class was 'Magic in Technology'. I went in to the room and sat with my friends on a long bench. The class soon was filled with fellow witches and class begun, "There are pixels in technology that blah blah blah blah blah." That is actually what our teacher said. I raised my hand, he called on me. "Sir, have you had any coffee this morning?", I asked. "N-no, blah.", he said. I slammed my staff on the ground lightly, a cup of coffee appeared in his hand. I heard whispers go around the room as he drunk it. "Celeste, thank-you very much, you should open a coffee shop.", he said. I smirked and buried my head in my arms, 'This is just the beginning of the school
day!' Finally it was lunch period, I found my friends and suggested we go out to get food. No-one objected so we walked to the restaurant about ten minutes from the school, 'My Blood, Your Poison'. It was actually the best restaurant around, we went in and got in line. We all ordered food and prepared to leave once we got it, but Natalia stopped us. "Come on, let's eat here! I've got a secret to tell you guys.", she whispered the last part. We followed her to a corner table and waited. "Psst! Listen, in the walls!", she whispered. I listened closely before hearing something. 'You still haven't found it! Ugh, you incompetent scum! Do you know what would happen if someone were to find these portals and be
injured?! Expert detectives would find out it belonged to me, I could get sued! You...I'm giving you one last chance, find those portals! Make sure no-one is to find them! And God forbid, if a witch finds this portal, it will be my head!', I heard a man say. 'Y-yes sir!', a woman said. I heard a door open and close, I looked behind our table to see a small troll running out the restaurant. "I'm following her.", I said. "Wh-what?", Sylem questioned. I ran out carrying my food, "Natalia suggested!" I saw the troll running in to the woods, I ran through the crowd and in to the woods, I soon heard my friends close behind. "Don't, Celeste! We still have a karate class, isn't that your favorite class?!", I heard Sylem yell. I stopped running, I scoffed and slammed my staff on the ground. A small brown hare jumped out a portal, "What is it Celeste?" "Follow that troll and stay there until I tell you to contact me, Nia.", I mentally ordered. Nia nodded her small head and dashed off, she was my familiar. Only a witch can have a familiar, which is their Zodiac animal, you can guess I was born in the year of the hare. Nia was given to me when I graduated from my pre-school, she's been a part of me ever since, a portion of my soul. We could only communicate telepathically. I turned back and walked back towards the restaurant just as my friends caught up, "I'll come back later." They hesitated then walked up behind me. "Wait, you're actually going
back? You heard what that guy s-!", Natalia started. I interrupted turning back to face her, "Exactly!" She stumbled back when I stopped her walking, "Celeste." I sighed and turned toward the restaurant again, "That man did something illegal, I'm going to turn him in! Whether you guys come or not, at nine o' clock, I'm going to go there again." I walked away, it took a few seconds for them to move, and even then I knew they would come along. After karate class I met my friends in the castle's nature park, "So?" "If you know we're coming, why would you ask?", Shayla asked smiling. "You were right Celeste, if someone is doing wrong, we shouldn't just sit back and watch.", Sylem said. "So?", Umaki asked. "You got a plan?", Natalia asked. I smiled, "Absolutely." After I had taken Talia home, I told my mother I was going to go meet a witches' club. "'Witches' club'? ... Hmm. Well, okay! Don't be irresponsible!", my
mother called after me. "Okay!", I called back running out the door. I opened my school portal and flew through it, "They have twelve minutes, if they're not there already." At all schools, there was a time limit to when you could open a portal to go in, but at any time you could get out. I was relieved when I saw all
my friends hiding in some bushes, they were all there. I touched down and ran over to them, "Glad to see you could make it." They smiled at me. "Ready for operation, catch-the-crook!", Kiye said. We stared at her. Natalia put her hand on Kiye's head, "No, no. It's okay." Kiye pouted. I snickered, "Come on you guys, advance in the mission." They nodded and followed me as I walked over to the woods again. When we were cloaked in the woods I slammed my staff on the ground, I felt a strong connection coming from the north-east of us. I pointed in that direction, "This way." I ran off with my friends close behind. We soon saw a glowing orange fire through the trees, and we heard the troll singing. "That man won't have my head, oh no, those witches I'll cut them dead!", she sung horridly. I swung my staff and cast a wind spell silently, the fire blew out. I saw something blue and glowing, that must of been the portal she was sent to destroy. I nodded towards my friends, they ran off around the troll, out of sight from her. "Oh, wh-who's out there?! ... I have a-a-a...um.... I have a stick, and it's pointy!", she
yelled. I cast a night-vision spell, and I could see in the dark perfectly. I saw my friends ready to pounce at the small troll, and the troll looking around blindly in circles. "NOW!", I yelled. They all pounced at once, I saw Sylem land on the troll. The troll was apparently strong and they started to wrestle, the rest of them dog-piled. "Go Celeste!", Natalia yelled. I ran out and saw the swirling portal, I jumped in, staff-first. 'What's this?', I thought. Wind was hitting me from every direction. 'Am I flying? No, no. ... I'm falling!', I thought. I called on the power in me and opened my eyes, I saw green, it was grass! Grass meaning ground! I called out to my staff, it flew into my hand. I got on it and flew away from my death. I stopped flying to look where I was, "A, forest?!" I looked down again to see the green was only a clearing in a mass of trees! "The portal is gone too.", I said. I cast a spell to open a portal back to my home, nothing. I remembered something important that our dimension teacher had taught our class, that if there is advanced magic involved, portals are UN-open able. I didn't panic, I was still alive. The only problem was, I couldn't get back, I thought there was no reason to worry. My friends would turn
in the troll and have my disappearance as proof, the wizard police would then catch the real crook, and the most powerful witches and wizards would get me out of the place I was in. I then realized that would take some time, I flew down to the ground, then stopped. There were people right below me! I cast a spell to make myself invisible, and kept flying. Then something cut my arm, I hissed and looked around. 'Are there witches in this world too?', I thought. I ended up looking down again, and saw the people looking straight at me! 'How is that possible?!', I thought. I heard a loud explosion, I shrieked and almost lost grip of my staff as a blast blew me aside. I looked behind me to see a giant white bird, carrying a blonde man with a cloak on, smirking at me! "Seems to be some interesting weapon you have there hmm?", he said. I looked at my staff, "This can only be a weapon when I want it to!" He smiled and reached up behind his bangs, I heard a click. I gasped, he just took a picture! I turned around to flee, when another explosion came off, much closer this time. I turned back to him, and tried to regain my balance. "Don't just run away hmph!", he said again. I growled and cast a spell, one that would make him sleep. He stumbled on his bird, "What did you do hmm?" He fell off the bird, and dammit for me being such a girl, cause I couldn't just watch him die! I swooped under him and caught him on my
staff, "Sorry, but you piss me off." I looked down, I saw three other people looking up. I couldn't fight at the moment, so I cast a levitating spell on the sleeping blonde and let him off my staff. He floated down until he hit the ground softly, I UN-did the spell and flew off without them chasing me. "Well this is just fucking perfect!", I yelled. Sasori's POV I watched in shock as Deidara floated down to the ground, he was asleep. I looked at the girl flying on the golden staff, she looked like she was watching him, to make sure he was fine. She then flew off quickly. I looked over at Itachi and Kisame, "Who do you think that was?" "What do you think that was?", Kisame asked. I growled, although he was right. What had just happened? "She casta genjutsu, and I broke it. When I cut her with a kunai, she seemed surprised.
If she can cast a genjutsu, why would she not know that it could be broken?", Itachi asked. "Never the less, we can't waste any more time, we have to report to leader.", Itachi said. "Yeah.", I said. "Fine.", Kisame said. Itachi, Kisame, and I appeared in the meeting room as holograms. Everyone else was there, some whispering and glaring at each other, I assumed something had happened before we got here. "Sasori, Itachi, and Kisame. Where is Deidara?", Pein-sama asked. "Asleep.", Kisame answered. I sighed. Pein glared, "Asleep? Well wake him up!" "We can't Pein-sama. He's been put under a
genjutsu so strong, that even I can't break it.", Itachi told him. The room quieted at that. "Did you see who put this on him?", Pein-sama asked. "A girl. ... A little, girl.", I answered. "A girl?!", Pein-sama asked. "Yeah, she was also flying on this expensive looking crescent moon-staff.", Kisame said. "… Flying?", Pein-sama asked. "How expensive did it look?", Kakuzu asked. "It was golden with jewels
on it, so pretty expensive.", Kisame said. Hidan was about to make a stupid remark, but Pein-sama stopped him. "Do you have a clear description of her?", he asked. "No, she was too high in the air for us to see.", Kisame said. Itachi shook his head, "When she cast a genjutsu, I broke it. But I still couldn't see her clearly, she must of had some hidden jutsu in affect." I thought, "Deidara got a picture." Pein-sama looked at me, "He did?" "I'm positive, anytime he lifts his hand to his scope, he's taken a picture. The only problem is, he's asleep.", I said. "It couldn't be that hard to find a girl with a golden crescent moon-staff!", Kakuzu said. "Perhaps...", Pein-sama said. He closed his eyes in thought, "I'll let Hidan and Kakuzu give chase of her." "Fuck, yes! I get to get out of this shit-hole!", Hidan yelled. "I can make some profit out of her staff.", Kakuzu mumbled. "Now, Sasori return to base with Deidara, and we can figure out how to see that picture. Itachi and Kisame, you will stay at your current location until your replacements come, point them in her direction.", Pein-sama ordered. "Hai, Pein(-in-the-ass)-sama!",
we said. Celeste's POV I flew until I saw a town with a wall surrounding it, I flew over to the forest
beside it and landed. I stumbled and fell on my butt, "Shit, I'm so tired." I laid my staff across my lap and hugged my knees, "Where the hell am I?" I heard some birds flying away, my eyes slimmed. In a second I was surrounded by guys with masks on. "No, no. THIS is just fucking perfect!", I yelled. "Who are you,
and what are you doing in this area?", one of them asked. I couldn't tell which one. "Celeste, and I was flying away from some guys in cloaks, I stopped here because I'm tired.", I said. "Cloaks?", one guy asked. "Yes cloaks, black ones with red clouds.", I said. "Red clouds? That's the Akatsuki, why would they bechasing you?", one guy asked. I shrugged, "Hell if I know, they should really mind their own business. I was just flying around, and they attacked me! For no good reason at all!" "No good reason? ... Wait. Did you say; flying?", one guy asked. I growled, "Yes. Now who are you guys? I told you who I was, don't you think I at least deserve that?" I turned to see one guy step up, "We are the ANBU, we
can't tell you anything more than that." I rolled my eyes, "Let me guess; if you tell me, my life will be in danger?" He nodded, "Yes." I gulped, "What the hell? How important are you guys?" "Very important.", they all said at the same time. I shivered, "Well, I've got to get going. See ya!" "We can't allow you to leave, you need to be interrogated.", one guy said. Meanwhile I was completely ignoring him and boarding my staff, "Yeah, yeah. Tell your mom that you're doing your job excellently! ... Bye!" I flew off hearing yells behind me, I looked back in to the trees, they were following me! Pein's POV Sasori had just gotten back to the base, carrying Deidara on Hikuro. "It's good to see that he wasn't injured.", I told him. Sasori stepped out of Hikuro, tossing Deidara aside. "Did Hidan, and Kakuzu leave yet?", he asked. "No, why?", I asked. Sasori looked at me, "That girl, she didn't try to hurt Deidara. She did
something to make him fall off his bird, it seemed that she would let him fall, but she didn't. She caught him, and somehow..." "What did she do?", I asked. "She, somehow made Deidara, float down to the ground. When I looked at her, she was watching him, then she just flew off. ... She wasn't trying to hurt him, even though he tried to kill her.", he said. "I see... You think this has something to do with where she's traveling?", I asked. "That and, how to get her guard down so she can be easily captured. She can do long range attacks that don't harm, they're just, charms.", Sasori said slowly. I thought about it, she hadn't hurt anyone during their encounter, she was just defending. When the time came to make
a finishing blow, she saves him. I looked back at Sasori, "We need a messenger, usually that would be Deidara's birds, now... Ugh, call in Tobi." Sasori looked confused, "Tobi?" I turned away from him, "Tell Zetsu to call him in, you don't know him yet, that I forgot." "Yes, sir.", he said and walked out. I looked back to see Deidara, I walked over to him and lifted up his bangs, I didn't see any way to take his scope off. "This is going to be a while.", I said. Celeste's POV I flew down to the ground after losing those stupid ANBU. I fell on the ground, my powers needed to regenerate, basically I needed to sleep. I turned over and used the last of my remaining strength to make a bed with a sheet on it. I stood
up and climbed in, "It's sunset, I need some rest." I fell asleep under the light sheet. No One's POV "How the hell are we supposed to find this bitch?!", Hidan yelled running through a forest beside his stitched partner. "Many people would be suspicious if they saw that girl, so if we sense multiple chakara coming from an area, that's where we go.", Kakuzu explained. Hidan scowled, "I-I knew that, but in a fucking forest?!" Kakuzu ignored him, "Cloak your chakara idiot." Hidan scowled but obeyed anyways, Kakuzu did the same. They traveled until it was dark, they set up a small fire and ate what they had packed. When they were about to fall asleep, something rustled. Hidan lifted his head up, "Kakuzu! Oi Kakuzu! You hear that?" Kakuzu opened his eyes and listened, "Yes." They stood up in defense. Suddenly there was a yell and snap, the zombie brothers looked up. There was a man slung over a branch from a tree, he wore an orange swirled-mask and an Akatsuki cloak. Hidan put scythe at his side, "What is this guy, a fucking messenger?!" The man looked up to reveal only one right-side eye-hole, "Yup! Tobi is a messenger!" Hidan and Kakuzu stared, they didn't expect him to be so, childish. Tobi jumped from the tree and landed clumsily in front of the two, "Tobi has a message!" Kakuzu nodded, "Go ahead." "Pein-sama said; Sasori gave me a report on the girl you were sent to capture, now your mission has been changed. Do not harm the girl in any way, which is the absolute last resort. Get her to come with you, her personality is fragile, so you need to be gentle with her. This means that
Kakuzu, you will take this job while Hidan, you are to keep quiet! If she refuses after you've tried everything, then you may knock her out. Un-quote! Tobi did good!", Tobi shouted. Kakuzu nodded, "Thanks Tobi, you can go back now. We understand." Tobi nodded frantically and ran away, unknown to him, Kakuzu was restraining Hidan's mouth with his strings, they stayed there until they woke up
the next morning. Hidan seemed to have forgotten about the whole thing, "Let's go find that bitch!" They headed off. Celeste's POV I groaned as I opened my eyes, the sun blinded me. "Shit.", I said. I turned to the side on my magic made bed, I got up and made it disappear, I stretched my arms above my head. "I feel great!", I sighed happily. I spun my staff around and boarded it, then I got off again, I knew that the ANBU jerks knew I could fly. I could lead them away from me, and plus, I got dizzy if I stayed in the air to long. So I walked, I brought out Nia for company. We discussed about how we had
gotten here, when I fell through the portal, Nia went back in to my staff. She never leaves my side, and if my staff is stolen, I could easily bring it back to me with hand-magic. "Oi bitch!", I heard a man yell. I turned to my left to see two men in, black cloaks with red clouds! "Oh not you guys again!", I yelled making Nia go inside my portal again for safety. A man with about a shade lighter skin than mine stepped in front of the silver haired guy, "Excuse his behavior, he's an idiot." I smirked.(Did I mention that Celeste and her family were African Americans? No?...Well, yeah, they are.) "I believe it. Now, what do you want with me?", I asked him. "We simply need you to come with us, we will not hurt you. It's an
order not to.", he said. I 'mmhmm'ed, "Who ordered that, and why?" "Leader- sama, he's interested in your abilities to charm people.", he answered. "What's your names?", I asked. He directed to himself, "My name is Kakuzu and the idiot is Hidan." I smirked, "Okay I'll go with you if you say; I'm a gassy ballerina." They gave me an 'o_0' face, I laughed. "Ha ha ha! Oh...No seriously, do it.", I said. They
sighed. "No, no. Just you Hidan!", I yelled. He glared at me, I saw Kakuzu give him a death glare. "I'll decapitate you and leave your head here.", Kakuzu said. I hissed, "Nice." Hidan growled, "I'm a gassy ballerina! There! You fucking happy now bitch?!" I laughed, "Yes, yes this bitch is happy!" He jumped at my emphasis. I walked over to them, "You guys know I can only walk and fly right? I can't jump
through trees." Kakuzu shook his head, "That's good..." I smiled, "Celeste." "Celeste. It's fine because you go at a greater speed than we do when we jump through trees. All you have to do to make this work is keep your speed minimum.", Kakuzu said. I nodded and boarded my staff. We went off, but
it was the slowest trip in my life! How did people survive without staffs?! We arrived in a country that looked like it was completely made of metal, I got off of my staff. Kakuzu nodded at Hidan, Hidan disappeared. I blinked, disappearing and reappearing was the first thing we learned in school. But he
wasn't a sorcerer. I was suddenly picked up and I screamed, I looked to see Hidan's silver hair in my face. He smirked at me, when I realized my legs were wrapped around his torso I growled. That meant he could feel my underwear! They hopped off with me on Hidan's back. I made sure that when I got off in the giant metal building I was in, that I bit Hidan's shoulder, hard. He cursed at me and I just laughed. Kakuzu walked me to a room with two giant double doors. He knocked on it. "Enter.", heard a man say. They opened one of the doors to allow me through, but Hidan butted in front of me, Kakuzu kept holding the door. I smiled and walked through, I ran up to Hidan and kicked his shoe, harder. He
growled but didn't attack me, I looked ahead to see a big desk with a man sitting behind it. He had piercings all over his face, it was probably for intimidation, but it didn't work on me. I heard the door close behind me that was when I noticed the blonde man I had charmed earlier. "I see you've retrieved her.", the pierced guy said. I was used to the strange hair color, many witches and sorcerers had unique hair colors. But these guys weren't sorcerers. "Yes Pein-sama. She showed no resistance.", Kakuzu said. I looked at Pein-sama, "So you're the person who told them not to kill me?" He nodded, "I need to have you wake Deidara." "Deidara? You mean him?", I asked pointing to the blonde. I knew he meant him, he nodded. I stepped forward and set the end of my staff on my neck so the crescent
was facing Deidara, I swung my staff casting a releasing spell. He snorted and fell out of the chair he was in, "Huh?! What, how long was I out hmm?" "A day.", Pein- sama said. "A day, well how'd you- HEY YOU HMM!!!", Deidara yelled pointing at me. I smiled, "Hi!" He steamed, "What the hell hmm?! What did you do to me?!" I sighed, "I cast a sleeping spell on you dumb-butt." "Spell?", Pein-sama asked. I
nodded, I stepped forward once more and kneeled. "Celeste Muhammad, witch of the present day in your presence.", I formally introduced myself. I stood, and smiled softly. He let out a grunt, "I always believed that witches were terrible, wicked creatures. Ugly and selfish. I've been proven wrong by your existence." I blushed in embarrassment, "Please save the compliments Pein-sama!" He smirked at me, I frowned. "Although, you were not completely wrong. I have my true form.", I said. "If you mind demonstrating, Celeste?", he asked. I shook myhead, "It's embarrassing, I look like a freak." "I'm the one who should be saying that, I have stiches in me, you couldn't be much worse.", Kakuzu said. I blushed again and set my staff on the floor, "Then...I'll show you." I lifted both of my hands and clapped them together, casting a release spell on myself. My form slowly started to change, my small ears shaped into elfin form, my silver hair changed purple and grew longer. My yellow-orange eyes went light purple and became slimmer, my teeth sharpened, I grew taller, my breast became bigger. My
fingernails turned black, as if there was nail polish on them. And, a black cone- shaped tall and floppy hat was placed on my head. I opened my eyes to see all four men staring at me with wide eyes, I pouted. "I told you, I'm ugly.", I said slowly. Deidara stood up, "No you're not! You-you're really pretty hmm!" I gasped, "Really?!" He nodded at me. I awed, "You're first human that's ever said that to a witch, that's seen their true form! ... Th-thank-you." He blushed, and I giggled. "*Ahem* Celeste, would you like to join my organization?", Pein-sama asked. I blinked, "Organization? I've never been in one....I know you guys are definitely not all nice, so as long as I don't have to kill anyone. ... But do I have to
wear the cloak?" Pein-sama blinked, "Just show that you are a part of this organization." I nodded and picked up my staff, I turned to face Hidan, I directed it at him. I cast a copying spell on his cloak sleeve, I took just a bit of it and put the small fabric around my hat, I used a sewing spell to keep it there. "Is this fine?", I asked. Pein-sama nodded, "That is enough. Hidan, go introduce her to the rest of the organization, and don't be...you." I giggled, and Hidan growled heading towards the door. He opened the door and looked back at me, "Well you coming witch?!" I blinked then smiled at him, "Yeah." He gained a pink color at this, I walked through the door smirking at him. I followed him through many hallways, wondering if I could get lost in them someday. "Don't even think about hiding in the hallways, it's easy to find your way in them after a day or two.", Hidan said. " I blinked, "How did you-?" "You were looking around with a dumb expression on your face.", he said. I punched his arm hard smirking, "Shut up." He smirked at me, "That'll happen." I followed him again, we came to an opening in a wall, right next to another one not far away from it. I heard talking, that meant people, I gulped. We walked in, silence filled the room. I did not look up, I was nervous as hell. "Guys, this is Celeste, she's a witch that's new here.", Hidan said. "Hey, you don't need to call her a witch Hidan.", I heard a man say. I looked up to see a man who was as tall as Kakuzu with blue skin and gills. I gripped Hidan's arm and
looked down again. "Hey look what you did Kisame, you scared her!", Hidan said. I heard Kisame scoff, I gasped and grabbed his arm, I looked up. "I-I'm sorry if I offended you! I'm just nervous, that's all.", I said frantically. He smiled at me, "You didn't do anything Celeste-chan." I smiled softly and let go, "Thank-you. ... Oh and, I really am a witch." He blinked, "Well that explains how you defeated Deidara, and made him float down to us." I gasped, "That was you down there?!" He nodded, "And Itachi-san and Sasori." I blinked, a man with red hair walked up from behind Kisame, he stared at me with his brown eyes. He seemed too perfect, like a doll. "I am Sasori. Celeste, it's such a pretty name. What does it mean?", he asked. "Heavenly...", I said. "It matches you in every way, Celeste-chan. I would love to add you to my collection.", he said. I blushed, "S-Sasori, you're too kind." "Don't even think about it Sasori no Danna hmm!", I heard Deidara yell. I looked behind me to see Deidara standing behind me, glaring at Sasori, he looked down at me softly. "Did Sasori scare you Celeste-chan hmm?", he asked. I shook my head, I blushed a deeper shade of red, now I was as tall as his nose. "H-he's really nice, he didn't scare me at all.", I said. He smiled, "Well tell me if he ever tries anything, okay hmm?" I nodded, "O-of course..." "Like you could do anything useful to me with those pesky fire-starters brat!", Sasori
yelled. "Art is an explosion hmm! Not those stupid puppets that you use!", Deidara yelled back. "Tch! Celeste-chan, what do you think of art?! Is it eternal, or fleeting?!", Sasori asked me. I jumped. "Yeah, what do you think hmm?!", Deidara asked me. I looked between the two men nervously. "Celeste-chan, you do not need to answer them. They do this all the time.", a man said. I looked to see a man with long black hair in a ponytail standing next to Kisame, he was staring me down. "Uchiha Itachi, and I have to agree that Celeste is a very pretty name.", he said. I smiled, "Thank-you, Itachi." He held up a book in front of his face and turned away, "Hn." I blinked then turned back to Sasori and Deidara, "I don't have
an idea of art, but I think that art is life, and what life can do and create. Friendships, love, beauty, and many other things. So, I don't think there's one idea of art, there are millions. So, you're both incorrect." They gaped at me then stared down. "Well that means art is fleeting!", Deidara yelled. "When she said
millions, she meant millions of useful things, I'm positive that your fire-starters are not included.", Sasori said back to him. They started arguing again, Hidan pulled me from in between them. "There they go again.", he said quietly. I laughed silently, "They really do that all the time?" He nodded. I smirked evilly, "Watch this." He raised an eyebrow, I silently asked Kisame to step away from Sasori, and Deidara. He smirked and backed up, Itachi peeked up from his book. I swung my staff at them. It was silent. Their mouths were still moving, but no sound came out. Deidara was the first to notice, he looked at me with a
confused face, Sasori followed suit. "What did you do to them?", Kisame asked. I smiled, "A mute spell. It disables the ability to talk." He smiled at me then looked at Sasori and Deidara, "That is cool." "Hahaha! They can't talk! Haha! They're like shitty mimes!", Hidan laughed. Deidara glared at him, he then looked at me hopefully. I looked at Kisame, "Should I undo it?" He shook his head, "We can get
some peace without their arguing for a while." "Thank-you.", Itachi said. He had a hint of amusement in his eyes, I really couldn't tell. I got an idea, I directed my staff at him. He then stared at me, "What are you going to do to me?" I smiled, "You're too stoic." Kisame awed at me, "You can get him to be more
emotional?!" I nodded, "Exactly." Itachi disappeared, I groaned. "Aww. Itachi ran away.", I whined. Deidara seemed disappointed as well. I sighed and released the mute spell on Sasori, "I think I'll let Sasori go." Sasori looked at me, "Thank-you." I nodded, "Still not sure about Deidara. Hmm. ... Well, anyone else hungry?" Kisame and Hidan raised their hands. I followed them and Sasori out of the room, Deidara silently tagged along. We walked down to the other opening in the wall about thirty long paces from the other room. I looked in to see Itachi with his book, at the table. I smiled, "Okay, I won't do anything." "That would be a rare treat though, seeing Itachi-san being emotional.", Kisame snickered. Itachi glared at him, I smirked. "So, what do you want to eat, Celeste-chan?", Sasori asked me. I flinched, "You...don't want...to know." I felt all eyes on me. "It'll be no problem, we're all strange. You can eat strange things.", Kisame said. I shrugged and took a deep breath, "Cricket eyes, goat eyes, dragon heart, turtle feet, aaannnnd...a little bit of frog's tongue." They all stared. "W-well, um...We don't have that in our fridge. Um...how about some ramen?", Hidan asked me. I nodded, "Okay! Haven't had that in a while!" Kisame chuckled at me, "You're cute." I blushed and looked away, "Thank-you." "Is any flavor fine?", Hidan asked me. I shook my head, "No pork, no shrimp, and no crab." "Why not?", Sasori asked me. I turned towards him, "I could go in to a rampage and kill everyone in this base." Sasori looked surprised, "Reason?" I smiled, "Not without a two hour speech." I twirled around on one foot, "In cantus!" In a second I was out of my school uniform, and in a small silk strapless black dress with the red cloud on the chest. It went down to my knees, so it wasn't that small. I also made my hat disappear, "Well I like this better. How about you guys?" Everyone in the room just stared. "Wow.", Kisame finally said. I smiled, "You like?" He nodded, "How limited are you to magic?" I
looked up in thought, "Well. I go to a school for witches, and I was the first at the school this year to receive a staff. I was given classes from witch college professors each day, instead of with the whole class. ... In fact, I wasn't supposed to receive my staff until I was in high school. A lot of people call me a 'witch genius'. Because, I'm only in middle school, and I'm not supposed to be in high school until next year. Yet I can still take college classes without falling behind. I've skipped four grades since I was in first grade. So, really I'm like a small sized college professor." "Whoa hmm.", Deidara said. "Do you ever get sick of it?", Itachi asked. I looked at him, "What?" He lowered his book, "Do you ever get sick of not being able to be with your friends for classes? And being called a genius?" I shrugged, "Not really. I don't want to be praised, but that's why I'm grateful for my friends. They treat me like any other witch in their lives. They really are great friends." I sniffed the air, "Hidan I think you're about to burn something." I looked over to Hidan who was trying to stop the ramen from burning quietly, I smiled. "Celeste-chan?", Deidara asked. I turned to him, "Yeah?" "Where do you come from?", he asked. I looked down, "I was thrown into a portal in my school, I can only say this theory; That I'm in a world different from my own. Basically, I don't live in this universe." Everyone gasped. I smiled, "Crazy right? It makes sense because if I were in my universe, you would probably all be sorcerers."

I Don't Want to Go Inside

Pre-Story
I turned over in my bed, unable to go to sleep at all. I kicked my feet in frustration, I then flicked my covers off of me. I looked out the window above my bed, the stars shone beautifully where I lived. My family owned four acres of land in our farm, so I always had space to think. I started to hyperventilate as I stared at the land I couldn’t feel on my feet, the wind I couldn’t feel on my face. I turned and grabbed my notebook, it had a Caribbean ocean on it. I snatched a pen from my desk and stood up from my bed. I ran out of my room. I didn’t care if I was in my nightgown, I needed to get outside! I ran down the hallway and down the stairs to my left, I dashed into the kitchen and out the door. I ran down the steps of the porch and towards the horse stables. I dropped my notebook and pen as I leaped over a stream. I turned my head back a little as I heard yelling, my uncle stumbled out onto the porch. “Girl! Where you going?!”, he shouted. I smiled, “Out! I’ll be back in twenty, maybe forty!” I turned back and slowed down my running as I walked into the stables.
I grabbed up a saddle and opened my horse’s stable, ‘Ore’ was his name. Black horse with a white mane, unique horse, unique rider. I jumped when I heard my uncle’s voice, “Celeste...It’s late, you need to go to bed!” I pouted and tightened the last strap on Ore’s saddle, “But uncle Michael! It’s boring inside! And suffocating!” Michael just shook his head, “Celeste Kins, sixteen year old girl who has lived outside for the majority of her life, my niece. I feel ya, you don’t really like the inside. You want to get out, but now it’s time to sleep.” I sighed as Michael moved aside allowing me to get through, “Fine.” I got on Ore’s back and started on a slow trot out, I smiled and then bolted out of the stables as soon as my uncle was out of the way. “SUCKER!”, I yelled. I heard Michael yell after me, “CELESTE!” I slowed down to a stop and turned to see Michael coming for me on ‘Bolt’, his horse. I yelled and sped off again. He chased me until I could see the sun on the horizon, and by then we were laughing our heads off. We let our horses have a break and we laid down in the grass. I sighed in joy, “I got to go out anyways uncle Michael! I win!” Michael grinned tiredly, “If I had been wide awake, I woulda’ rassled you in like a bull.” I smiled and laughed, “Ah. ... Nature is so calming. It’s my element, it makes me kinda ... *yawn* sleepy.” “Celeste. ... Celeste? .... You really just fell asleep while I was talking?”, Michael asked. I mentally sighed, I was fast asleep in the greenest grasses in Virginia. Celeste Kins is my name, and I was a simple farm girl, but I had a dream to become the world’s greatest author. But, I was going to be something so much more powerful.
Chapter 1
I woke up in a flash. I heard the clinking of teacups and something being poured. I opened my eyes to find myself in my grandma’s old rocking chair on the porch in the front of my house. “Awake? Finally, I woke up two hours ago.”, my uncle said. I sighed and looked up at the white ceiling of the porch, “Yeah.”
My mother and father had passed away three years before then. I had a little brother, Noah Kins who was age of eleven. I myself, was thirteen at the time. Now he was fourteen, and I was sixteen. Our white hair came from our father, Iyaku Madri. My orange-red eyes came from my mother, but my brother’s jade colored eyes came from our grandmother.
I sat up in the wooden chair and looked around, “What time is it?” “It’s eleven am. And you, have to help with the pigs!”, my brother said. I looked to my side to see Noah standing there, his jade colored eyes stared into mine. I blinked when he put a cup of tea under my nose, “Um... Thanks.” He smiled as I took it, “No problem sis.” I smiled and held the cup near to my lips, and chuckled as Noah started to rock the rocking chair I sat in. I drank my hot tea slowly then I paused, “Noah...Is it really my turn to feed the pigs?” Noah nodded, “Yeah it is.” He stopped pushing my chair and walked over to the fence bordering the porch, “And then, you can ride Ore.” I blinked and stifled a laugh, “Um...” My uncle burst out laughing, and second after him, I started cracking up too.
“*Snicker* Oh my God, you’re a heavy sleeper!”, I cried out. My uncle ran his hands through his short brown hair, “Boy you sleep as heavy as a tractor!” Noah looked genuinely confused, “What? ... I don’t sleep that heavy!” I sighed happily and placed my now empty cup on the table in front of me, “Oh...my.” I stood up and held Noah in a headlock, I knuckled the top of his head. “Ah! Celeste! I’m not ten anymore, stop it!”, Noah yelled. I giggled and let him go, “But you are still, my little brother!” Noah pouted and tried to smooth down his hair, “You...” Noah had his white hair grown down to his neck, although he had two bangs that framed his face that went down to his shoulders. My hair just went down to my neck though. I smiled and walked off the porch, “Uncle Michael and I were riding Ore and Bolt all night. I’m surprised you didn’t hear us!” Noah looked annoyed, “Could've told me that earlier instead of leaving me confused.” I shrugged and looked out into the large acres that we owned, “Sorry. It didn’t come to me.”
I heard Michael sigh, “Okay you kids, go on and get to work!” I turned to him, “Okay uncle Michael!” I sighed and walked towards the farm, “If it’s my turn for the pigs Noah, it’s your turn for the chickens.” I heard his aggravated growl, “I know, I know!” The pigs smelled and the chickens pecked, we both had it bad. Noah started to follow me to the farm, “And that means, uncle Michael has the cows.” I snickered, “That’s even worse! ... Noah, want to help me sell the corn in the field?” Noah shrugged, “Maybe...” I smirked, “You could see Sylem!” Noah blushed and looked at me as he stopped walking, “Shut up! I’ll come to help you! Not...talk to Sylem.” I smiled, “Sure. Thanks anyways.” We continued to walk to the farm, I grimaced at the stink of the pigs. “Disgusting.”, I groaned. Noah sighed at the chickens that were two pens down, “My hands still haven’t healed from last time.” I put my hand on his shoulder, “Good luck.” He groaned and walked over to them. I turned to the pigs, “Okay. Bring it on you living stink bombs.”
Later after we both were done, I had taken a long shower and loved every second of it. I dressed up in my short sleeved plaid orange and white shirt and tan capris. I went downstairs and found Noah with two large baskets full of corn, “Ah, sorry Noah.” Noah grunted, “I just got in.” I smiled and slipped my white flats on, “Then, let’s go.” He nodded. Noah was wearing a white long sleeved shirt and black pants, with white tennis shoes. We were completely opposite when it came to dressing for climate. When I wore short sleeves and capris, he wore long sleeves and pants. I opened the door and walked out, I picked up the keys to my uncle’s truck. “Are you sure he’ll be alright with you driving?”, Noah asked. I twirled the key ring around my finger, “He said that I was responsible enough to, a month after I got my driver’s license.” “Right...but we should let him know where we’re going first.”, Noah said. I pouted then looked around, “Well I’m not finding him.” Noah sighed and walked past me off the porch, “Fine.” I smiled and went ahead to walk to Michael's truck, I was surprised to find my best friend standing there, out of breath.
“Talia? Wh-what are you doing?”, I asked. She looked up at me, her brown eyes flaring. “Today is the day when you usually come to town, it was taking you so long, so I came to you! What took you so long!”, she asked madly. I blinked, “Pigs.” Talia smiled, “Well you should've said so earlier! Anyways, you need to get into town now!” I tilted my head, “Is there a sale?” Talia shook her head, “Yes. But that’s not what’s awesome right now!” “Celeste!”, Noah called. I turned to see Noah walking over, “Uncle Michael said it’s okay. We can go. ... Oh, hi Talia.” Talia frowned and caught Noah in a headlock, “You just noticed me?! You little!” Noah cried out, unlike me, Talia was actually trying to hurt him.
Talia was fifteen years old, a young African American woman with curly black hair that reached her mid-back. She wore a black short sleeved shirt with a black skirt that reached her knees, and black tights underneath. She wore a black headband with a large purple flower on it. She just wore dark colors a lot.
Talia and I had known each other since we were five years old, our parents had been friends when they were young too. Our family knew their family for five generations, it was an amazing life-long relationship for us. She was 5ft 2in. tall, though she had always been a little short for her age.
I sighed and pried her off my younger brother, “That’s enough Talia.” She growled then smiled, “Fine. ... Shotgun!” She ran and climbed into the passenger seat of the truck. Noah sighed and jumped into the back of the truck. I smiled, “Have a nice ride.” I climbed into the drivers seat and started it, “Let’s go!” “Please drive slow!”, Noah yelled anxiously through the window. I sighed, “Fine.” I pulled out and drove at medium speed away from the farm.
About forty minutes later, we had arrived at town. I blinked when I saw almost no-one in the streets, “Where is everyone?” “Some weird guys showed up in town, I don’t know what they’re doing though.”, Talia said. “That’s unsettling.”, Noah said. I nodded, I parked on the side of the street. I turned back to Noah, “Stay in here.” Noah looked upset, “What?! But-!” Talia got out of the truck and followed me, “I’m glad to be fifteen. Although I’m turning sixteen in like two weeks.” I nodded, “So where did these guys show up?” Talia looked up as if thinking back into her memory, “Ah! In front of Ms. Mary's flower shop! They didn’t go in, they just stood at the entrance looking scary.”
I hummed in interest, “So they didn’t want any trouble? Then why were they just standing there?” Talia shrugged, “I dunno.” I looked up at the walkway we were crossing, everything was scarily empty. I usually had to honk the truck’s horn ten times for people to move out of the way. Now, it looked like a ghost town. I jumped when I heard cheering, “What the what?!” Talia giggled, “Well it sounds like everyone is in one place!” I smiled and nodded as we walked towards the center of town.
I stood shocked at what I saw, a white limo was parked right near the fountain. It was my first time seeing a limo in real life, and it was amazing! I looked at Talia, “Is it someone famous?!” Talia smiled, “I hope so! Then I can advertise my singing, and you can advertise your violin playing!” “Really?! That would be great!”, I exclaimed happily. Talia ran towards the crowd full of people that we had known for years. I walked up next to her and looked to her, she smirked. She got on her hands and knees and crawled into the crowd and out of sight. I shook my head and smiled, “How childish of her.” All of a sudden Noah rushed up to me and grabbed my shoulders, “Well, what’cha waitin’ for?!” He then got on his hands and knees and followed Talia. I stood there and sighed, “Well if you say so...” I got down and crawled through the crowd until I was in the front with Talia and Noah.
I stared at the woman that stood in the door of the limo, she was beautiful! Her shoulder length dark purple hair seemed to glow in the afternoon sunlight, her silver eyes seemed to watch over us all. I stared, “Wow.” Talia gulped, “Yeah, wow.” She looked over in our direction and smiled, her lips moved but no sound came out, as if she were whispering to us. She looked even happier at my most likely confused face, "Everyone in this small town, I have come on a journey looking for three people! Three young ladies of this town have a shot at becoming royalty! I come from the royal family of France! My name is Kiye Madri, cousin of the queen of France! And I have come to look for only three beautiful ladies from the ages of fifteen to seventeen, to be married to royalty and create the next generation!"
I gasped in shock, these were her intentions?! “I’ll be here for two months staying at your finest hotel! In this period of time I will review any young woman who would want to participate in this once-in-a-lifetime experience. I wish luck to you all!”, she said dramatically as she got in her limo.
The limo drove off slowly through a gap in the crowd of people. It was silent, dead silent. I looked to Talia, she looked annoyed. She looked up at me, “She’s insane.” I nodded in agreement. Suddenly a bunch of girls within the crowd screamed and ran towards the nearest hotel. I covered my ears and stared at the trail of dust they left behind, “Geez, that eager to be judged?” Talia nodded, “I would’ve thought that the girls of our town would be more self respecting.” “It’s a stupid contest. Let’s go to the market.”, Noah said. I put my hands down and nodded, “Yeah sure. Talia?” Talia smiled, “Nah, I think I’ll go check out that sale.” I quirked an eyebrow, “Oh really?” Talia nodded, “Yeah. What’s wrong?” I tilted my head, “How am I sure that you’re not just going to run after that crowd?” Talia then looked surprised, “As if! I am a self respecting young woman, and I would never just show myself off to some people so I can marry some guy I don’t even know!” I smiled, “Okay, you’re telling the truth. Go on.” Talia then smirked, “You’d better catch up in fifteen minutes Celeste, or I’ll come find you.” I nodded nervously, “Okay, okay I’ll catch up! Jeez, go on then!”
Talia then turned and ran with one final smile. I could tell when she was telling the truth easily, but I couldn’t tell when she was lying. Strange, isn’t it? I looked to Noah, “Let’s go little brother.” Noah looked to me, “Huh? O-oh, right. Yeah.” We started to make our way through the dispersing crowd back to Michael’s truck. I heard many insults directed towards that Kiye woman, who had told us of the contest for desperate girls. I kind of felt the same annoyance that the townspeople felt, but I didn’t want to judge that woman. Sometimes people think that they’re helping others, when really they’re just making things worse. “Noah! Celeste!”, a familiar female voice called out. I stopped to look around. “Who was that?”, Noah asked. I then spotted a familiar head of blue hair running towards us, “Hey Sylem!” I saw Noah flinch and turn towards Sylem. Sylem stopped running and skidded to a halt in front of us, she almost fell. She the straightened up, “Can you believe that woman?! That was so embarrassing! Even worse; half of the girls I know ran after her!” I put my hands up in front of me, “Whoa, whoa. Calm down a little. It’s irking me too.” Sylem then sighed, “Wait.” She looked around, “Don’t tell me Talia ran after her too!?” I shook my head, “She went to the clothes sale. It’s fine.” I looked to Noah, he blinked at me in confusion. I coughed a bit and glared at him, ‘Talk to her!’ Noah just smirked nervously, “U-um...” I smiled and pushed Noah towards Sylem, “Well, I’m going to get the corn baskets! You two have fun! I’m fine from here!” I saw Noah glare at me before I ran off, I laughed.
